In 2004 Advantage Air commissioned an independent study by the CSIRO to assess the potential energy savings of the Gen III and Fresh Air products in comparison with the standard zone ducted air conditioning system.
Whilst energy savings depend on characteristics of each individual home and household's use of the products, the CSIRO estimates energy savings of up to 38% for a house in Perth with a variable volume HVAC system with economy cycle, when compared to a standard system.
