The Small Duct System (SDS) can use such small ducts as it is a high velocity system. This means proportionally for their size, the ducts deliver more air. The velocity with which the air comes out creates a gentle suction around the outlet; this draws the existing room air into the conditioned air by a process called ‘aspiration’. Physics lesson over, the result is you enjoy a comfortable, draft free environment with a consistent temperature throughout the room. Unlike systems that diffuse air into a room, there is no draft and no noticeable hot and cold spots.

The SDS doesn’t just get architects out of sticky situations. As its cooling coils are twice as thick as traditional cooling coils, air passes through them more slowly. This allows hot air to stay on the coils for longer and results in up to 30% greater humidity removal than standard systems.
